Airplane Noise in Mississauga

With the city's largest airport located in the Northeast corner of Mississauga, one might expect that much of the city is affected adversely by airplane noise. However, the planners have, for the most part, done their jobs, as only a few of Mississauga's residential streets are perhaps a little too noisy for your tastes.

Looking at the Greater Toronto Airport Authority's Noise Exposure Forecast PDF map (big map - wait for it!), we can see that only parts of Derry West Village might be genuinely affected by airplane noise (the blue areas), and perhaps developments close to the Heartland, too.

For the quietest areas in Mississauga, look anywhere outside the outer 25NEF line.
